What Do You Believe?
Ever heard the phrase "if you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything"...
The phrase holds more truth than you think. In a devotional I was reading by Robin Meadows called "Choices" he wrote something which really stood out to me:
"We need a basis for belief, or we will believe anything. If there isn't a standard, our beliefs change to match the culture"
I believe, especially as a young person we really need to know what we stand for and what we are about. In this cruel world you really won't get anywhere just 'drifting'. You really have to be able to stand on your own two feet. When your beliefs are questioned, don't back down. Stand firm. If you don't feel something is right state it. Don't just accept it.
This post is really just a short thought provoker. I put so much emphasis on self evaluation. Do you even know what you really believe in? What causes are you truly for and against? Maybe you should take some time. Your beliefs really shape your life. The way you think, what you eat, where you go etc.
In your time of self reflection I want you to really focus on the quote from Robin Meadows. I really hope you begin to understand yourselves more.
If there's anything you would like to see me write about, or anything you want me to start doing don't be scared to pop up to me. I feel like inspiration is just fading and I need more ideas.
